AMON Events

The AMON consortium is committed to share the knowledge generated from the project and is aware of the importance to exchange best practices and lessons learnt. The project

  • organised the free webinar series “Innovation for Maritime and Stationary Use“ (Oct 2025 – April 2026, online)
  • co-hosted the webinar “Ammonia as a Fuel. Materials Integrity Challenges in Next-Generation Energy Systems” (Nov 2025, online)
  • organised the workshop “Ammonia FC System for Maritime application” during the Sustainable Shipping Days (July 2024, Lucerne)

We are planning for other events.. more information coming soon!

STAY TUNED!

Innovation for Maritime and Stationary Use

Between October 2025 and April 2026, three webinars were organised within the series Innovation for Maritime and Stationary Use. The purpose of the webinars is to raise awareness in and get feedback from the respective target groups as well as foster discussion and exchange good practices. More information at this link: https://amon-project.eu/2025/09/10/launch-of-the-joint-webinar-series/

October 28, 2025 – The first webinar was entitled “Efficient use of fuels in the maritime sector” and saw the participation of the FUELSOME Project, which focuses on establishing the technological feasibility of a flexible, scalable, and multi-fuel capable energy generation system based on Solid Oxide Fuel Cells technology specially catered for long-distance maritime shipping.

January 20, 2026 – The second webinar was entitled “System integration of new technologies” and saw the participation of the SO-FREE Project, a truly flexible SOFC platform, addressing the 5 kWe power class, that allows to integrate multiple SOFC stack technologies within any CHP system, fed with any fuel mixture ranging from natural gas to biogas to pure hydrogen.

April 14, 2026 – The last webinar was entitled “Advantages in using innovative technologies: waterborne & stationary” and saw the participation of the RH2IWER Project, which focuses on creating a solid basis for the acceleration of hydrogen fuel cell powered inland vessels to significantly reduce their environmental footprint and remove emissions from their entire fleet in the future.

The organisation of the webinars was led by the partner EFCF | European Electrolyser & Fuel Cell Forum joint with the Sustainable Shipping Days SSD 2026, in strong collaboration with Fondazione Bruno Kessler.
